RNC STATEMENT ON BIDEN'S ROUNDTABLE WITH CORPORATE CEOS ON FORCING VACCINE MANDATES

    September 16, 2021

Washington, DC - Today, the Republican National Committee (RNC) released the following statement following Biden's roundtable with corporate CEOs on forcing vaccine mandates:

"Instead of meeting with corporate CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, Biden should meet with small business owners, millions of whom across the country are struggling to hire workers, pay their bills, and stay afloat at the hands of Biden's crippling policies. Biden continues to work against American small business and workers - from proposing crushing tax rates to an unconstitutional forced vaccine requirement. The Biden administration either doesn't know how small businesses operate, or they just do not care." - RNC Spokesperson Emma Vaughn

Biden's Economy: Higher Taxes, Higher Prices

    • Biden's economy is squeezing the American people - higher prices on one side, and higher taxes on the other. And it's the lower and middle classed who are being hit the hardest.
    • For yet another month, American consumers are getting "socked with higher prices" for the goods they need - Biden tried to claim this inflation would be "transitory." He lied.
    • Since last year, American workers and families have faced shocking price increases across the economy, with the Consumer price index jumping by 5.3%. Consumer prices are spiking:

    • Groceries are more expensive too, with Americans seeing higher prices year-over-year for kitchen staples:

    • Biden claims he is empowering workers, but on his watch real wages have gone down due to rising prices. In fact, they have decreased 0.9% from August of last year.
    • Job growth is stalling, with half a million fewer jobs created in August than expected.
    • Biden has already spent $1.9 trillion, and now he's looking to spend $3.5 trillion more on Democrats' reckless socialist spending spree.
    • Trillions more in inflationary spending will only make things worse.
    • Biden and his Democrats in Congress are also seeking the largest tax increase in decades.
    • Under the Biden plan, Americans would face higher tax bills on their income and investments.
      • American companies would also face higher taxes, which would slow growth and disincentivize hiring.
      • According to a new study, Americans making $30,000 a year would actually pay more in taxes by 2027.
    • Instead of doubling down on his socialist schemes, Biden should listen to the American people. Americans can't afford more rising prices and rising taxes.

    AROUND THE DISTRICT

From 3rd District Chairman, Dave Wickersham:

First things first, a huge shout out to Joe Hollowell, Carolyn Meadows and all the good folks in Edenton who made sure we had a great time......which we did!  There were about 70 EX CMT members and guests that participated and the weather couldn't have been better.  Senator Sanderson offered a moving invocation on the green across from the old Courthouse where we also had the Pledge, National Anthem and a 9/11 reflection. Thanks to Pete Benton, we had a group photo taken on the steps of the Courthouse (we will try to get copies) and then moved inside and were privileged to hear comments by former NC Chief Justice Mark Martin. Next was a wonderful lunch in the Ballroom above the Courtroom followed by an abbreviated business session in order to give our other Guest Speaker, cyber security expert Doug Gould, some time to explain some of the issues associated with ensuring election integrity.  Doug attended the Mike Lindell Symposium and shared some of that experience with us.  We spent the rest of the afternoon exploring the Edenton waterfront, trolley tours, and historic sites.  Edenton provided a welcome gift to all attendees, including some Chowan County peanuts!  It was a special day and I believe everyone had a terrific time.

That's right! Carteret County GOP will be hosting the next meeting of the 3rd District GOP Executive Committee!

RNC STATEMENT ON AUGUST JOBS REPORT

    September 3, 2021

Washington, DC - Today, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement on the August jobs report:

"The latest jobs report is a huge miss and shows Joe Biden continues to squander the economic recovery he inherited. Because of Biden's failed policies and reckless spending, there are fewer jobs and rising prices for everything from gas to groceries. Americans are being left behind. Meanwhile, in states with Republican leadership, small businesses are hiring and Americans are getting back to work despite the failures of Biden and the Democrats."

    August 27th
    For Immediate Release

Raleigh, NC -- As troops from our home state of North Carolina are in harm's way, Beasley can't be bothered to even comment on it. Watch this video, where she is repeatedly asked for her thoughts on Afghanistan, and she walks away.

Clearly, Beasley is taking a cue straight out of Joe Biden's playbook by avoiding the media at all costs as the consequences of failed Democrat governance harm Americans.

"Beasley's deliberate silence on the horrific events taking place in Afghanistan is disgraceful and disturbing," said NCGOP Press Secretary Livy Polen. "North Carolina voters need a Senator who unequivocally supports our troops, not one that refuses to answer basic questions."

The next 3rd District Executive Committee meeting will be held in Edenton on September 11th. The meeting will start at 11am on the lawn of the historic Courthouse. After the presenting of the Colors, the Pledge, the National Anthem, a moment to reflect on the 20 year anniversary of 9/11, attendees will be given short presentation of the origin of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Former NC Chief Justice, Mark Martin, will continue the presentation and give some personal recollections of the Courthouse. Lunch will be served in the Ballroom upstairs, then reconvene in the Courtroom for a brief business session. There are plenty of sites to see in the town, and a Trolley tour will be available for those that are interested.

    News and Events

    STATE AND NATIONAL

    • The events in Kabul are sickening and heartbreaking - the American people are continuing to pray for the victims and their families.
    • Sadly, there are now deadly consequences for the way the Biden administration bungled the Afghanistan withdrawal.
    • The Biden administration needs to stop claiming the Americans they are leaving behind in Afghanistan want to stay.
    • Many Americans cannot get to the airport and Joe Biden has no plan to help them.
    • The Biden administration has admitted people have been turned away at Taliban checkpoints.
    • The chaos in Afghanistan makes clear what we already knew: Joe Biden is incapable of serving as Commander in Chief - the U.S. and the world are less safe because of him.
    • ICYMI: Read these Op Eds on the crisis in Afghanistan written by North Carolina Republican elected officials:
    • Our prayers are with the U.S. Marines, Navy, Army, and innocent civilians who were killed and wounded in the horrific terrorist attacks near the Kabul airport.

    • Lt. Governor Robinson's Fairness and Accountability in the Classroom for Teachers and Students (FACTS) task force investigating Critical Race Theory in the NC education system gave its first update.
    • The purpose of this task force is to answer the question of whether indoctrination is happening in NC public schools. Lt. Gov. Robinson said that after doing this report and task force, that "the overwhelming answer is yes, it is."
    • The advisory board for FACTS consists of 12 people, made up of teachers, local and state board members, lawmakers, university professors, and other community members.
    • Following Lt. Governor's remarks, Superintendent of Public Instruction, Catherine Truitt, gave brief remarks.
      • In summation, Superintendent Truitt said that although the vase majority of public school teachers keep their lessons professional and unbiased, the FACTS task force has provided evidence that some teachers do, in fact, improperly use their platform to influence their students' political beliefs.
    • The largest percentage of submissions for a single school district came from Wake County Public Schools, with 20.9%. Orange County Public Schools followed with 12.8%, then Forsyth at 7% and Guilford at 5.5%.
    • Following the press conference, the Senate Education/Higher Education Standing Committee approved House Bill 324, Ensuring Dignity & Nondiscrimination/Schools.
      • Chairman Blackwell (R-Burke) said this legislation would "ensure that tax dollars are spent to educate our students and not on distracting political projects."
    • Republican leaders in North Carolina are united in their opposition to Critical Race Theory. Participation of parents, students, and educators across the state have created a strong collection of concrete evidence that helps NC take a tremendous stride in creating more fair and accountable classrooms.

RNC Statement on Biden's Afghanistan Disaster

    August 16, 2021

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement on Biden's failed leadership amid the Afghanistan disaster he created:

"Biden's Afghanistan disaster has unleashed chaos, and the world and our adversaries have taken note. As this crisis unfolded on the streets of Kabul, risking American lives and costing the lives of Afghans who assisted our mission, Biden couldn't be bothered to cut his vacation short. As a result of Biden's failed withdrawal, Americans are less safe, adversaries are emboldened, and an international disaster has been created."

NC Democrats Follow Biden's Cue and Remain Silent on Afghanistan

    August 19, 2021
    For Immediate Release

Raleigh, NC -- As Fort Bragg's 82nd Airborne Division deploys to Afghanistan to aid in the evacuation effort, North Carolina Democrat candidates for U.S. Senate have been silent. North Carolinians deserve to know if Jeff Jackson, Cheri Beasley, and Erica Smith approve of Biden's botched withdrawal from Afghanistan.

"It's disappointing that Jackson, Beasley, and Smith have been completely silent on Biden's handling of Afghanistan," said NCGOP Press Secretary Livy Polen. "As Democrats' weak leadership fails Americans and our allies on the world stage, this is an opportunity for Democrats to prioritize country over campaigns, and denounce the avoidable atrocities taking place under the Biden Administration."

Who's Footing the Bill for Biden's Spending Spree?

    • The Democrats just released the framework for their $3.5 trillion reckless tax-and-spending spree. It's worse than we feared.
    • The $3.5 trillion bill is larger than the economy of the UK, four times the size of Obama's stimulus, and the size of the entire 2010 federal budget. Because the spending is half financed by new debt, the national debt would skyrocket to $45 trillion in 2031!
    • This budget includes:
    • This spending spree won't help the economy, it will slow economic growth, raise taxes, and leave less money in American's pockets.
    • North Carolinians are facing the grim economic reality created by the Democrats. For example:
      • A restaurant owner in Winston-Salem said, "I will give you an example, I am paying $200 more a week in mayonnaise."
      • Alex Simpson, the owner of Simpson's Eggs in Monroe, said, "When you go to increase in the cost of a dozen eggs to produce by 10, 15, 20 cents, you can pretty much eliminate the profits out of it really quickly. We can't take it forever. We'll take it here for a little while. But sooner or later, it's gonna have to trickle down to the consumer."
      • Kerry Bryant, West 94th Street Pub in Durham, said, "Food prices have skyrocketed, and we're having to substitute and try to figure out what we can bring in that we normally have on our menu that we feel like is quality."

54 Legislators called on the CEO's or our state's major hospital systems to reevaluate their decision to require all staff to receive the COVID-19 vaccination in order to keep their jobs.

"We believe there is a better path forward that includes more attention, consideration and flexibility surrounding the concerns and uneasiness of employees, as well as the impact such a mandate will have on recruitment, retention and quality of care. With the current nursing and labor shortage, this decision to terminate nurses and other healthcare professionals who do not take the vaccine will only exacerbate the problem. These men and women were rightly hailed as healthcare heroes while serving on the frontlines against COVID-19. It is unfair to force them to choose between their job and taking a vaccine, especially when it is only authorized for 'emergency use only'."

But beyond that - gas prices are up, we're seeing inflation, we are seeing our groceries costing more, we are seeing the disaster of our border not being secure, abandoning Israel, and vacating our energy independence. These are so many things that are coming out of this administration and such a short time to dismantle what the Trump administration did so well that lifted every American. So, we're looking forward to a great midterm to discuss those ideas. And let's not forget defunding the police. For Immediate Release

Raleigh, NC - Today, the North Carolina State Senate announced legislation to address anti-discrimination in school curriculum.

The legislation does not permit public schools to compel students "to affirm or profess belief in" several discriminatory concepts, including:
    • That one race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex;
    • An individual, solely by virtue of his or her race or sex, is inherently racist, sexist, or oppressive;
    • An individual should be discriminated against or receive adverse treatment solely or partly because of his or her race or sex;
    • A meritocracy is inherently racist or sexist;
    • Particular character traits, values, moral or ethical codes, privileges, or beliefs should be ascribed to a race or sex, or to an individual because of the individual's race or sex.

"Students must not be forced to adopt an ideology that is separate and distinct from history; an ideology that attacks 'the very foundations of the liberal order,' and that promotes 'present discrimination' – so long as it’s against the right people – as 'antiracist,'" said Senate Leader Phil Berger (R-Rockingham.)

“Diversity should be celebrated, not weaponized through the harmful teachings of doctrines like Critical Race Theory (CRT)," said NCGOP Chairman Michael Whatley. "North Carolina students deserve an education that promotes unity and academic achievement, not division.”

    • Another disappointing jobs report was released. Unemployment rose to 5.9% in June, increasing the number of unemployed Americans to 9.5 million. The rate increased for:
      • Women
      • Black Americans
      • Hispanic and Latino Americans
      • Asian Americans
      • Workers without a high school or college degree

    • While NC were celebrating our nation's 245th year of independence, King Cooper celebrated his 57th veto, the most of any governor in North Carolina history. The latest vetoes include:
      • SB116: "Put North Carolina Back to Work Act"
        • This legislation passed the House with bipartisan support. SB116 would have made unemployment benefits non-taxable income and withdrawn our state from the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation Agreement (FPUC).
      • SB43: "Protect Religious Meeting Places"
        • This common-sense bill would extend gun rights to places of worship that also have a private school, as long as the church allows it and it does not take place during school activities. Guns are already allowed in churches, if they so choose.
      • HB453: "Human Life Non-Discrimination Act/No Eugenics"
        • This bill had bipartisan support in the state House of Representatives, and would prevent discrimination against the unborn because of their God-given characteristics.

    My Projects:
I have several projects I will be working on these 2 years. One will be Education. Education is very near and dear to me since I am a public High School teacher. I teach Family and Consumer Sciences for those that may not know. As a teacher I can be a resource to our elected officials and help them see things from a teachers’ prospective.
My goal is to recruit more Republicans to run for local school boards. The only way to change the direction we are head-ed is to elect conservatives that understand the importance of a good education. You do not have to be a retired teacher or principal, you only have to care about the future of our children. If you are like me and think we are headed in the wrong direction, then you are needed to run for your local school board!
Another project will be recruiting more ladies to run for office! If you were at the Convention then you heard Sen. Dean-na Ballard say how we have very few women in the North Carolina House or Senate. We need our conservative ladies to throw their hats into the ring and run for office. We need you locally as well as in the NC House or Senate!
If you are interested in either one of these, please contact me at [email protected] and let’s talk!
ELECTING REPUBLICANS IS MY MAIN PRIORITY!

Biden's Border Crisis is Worse Than Ever

The Worst December in DHS History: 178,840 illegal immigrants were apprehended attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border, making this the highest total for December in DHS history.
    • Nearly two million: That's how many illegal immigrants Border Patrol has caught attempting to cross the border since Biden took office.
    • 11,921: The number of unaccompanied children Border Patrol encountered just last month.
    • Roughly 500,000: The estimated number of illegal immigrants that have escaped into the U.S. without apprehension. We may never know who these individuals are or where they went.
The root cause: Biden's failed policies created the crisis at the southern border. Biden has:
Bottom line: Biden's refusal to secure our border has tragic consequences. Illegal drugs are pouring into America, with fentanyl overdoses becoming the leading cause of death for Americans between the ages of 18 and 45. Open borders bring human trafficking, violence, and abuse to our doorstep.

But Biden still hasn't visited the border. He doesn't care.
Red State Recovery: GOP Policies Work

Red State Rebound: Newly released December Data from the Labor Department confirms that Republican governors and legislatures are leading the way in getting Americans back to work.

    The numbers don't lie:
    • 16 of the top 20 states for jobs recovered since the coronavirus pandemic began are led by Republican governors.
    • 18 of the top 20 states for jobs recovered have Republican-controlled legislatures.
    • The top nine states for jobs recovered are all led by Republicans.
    • The top 10 states with the lowest unemployment rates are all led by Republicans.
"Republican governors and legislatures deliver results, while Biden and Democrat governors are leaving Americans behind," said RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. "Despite reckless spending, skyrocketing prices, and forced mandates, Republican commitments to commonsense, conservative economic policies are leading the way."

While red states put Americans back to work, Democrats' job-killing policies and economic lockdowns are destroying their states.
Expanding the Party, Investing in Communities

The Republican National Committee is continuing to grow the Party, invest in communities, and mobilize support ahead of the midterms.
    • This week, the RNC opened two new Community Centers - part of the RNC's multimillion-dollar minority engagement effort and long term investments in communities.
Houston, Texas: The RNC opened its fourth Hispanic Community Center in Texas, and 8th across the county.
    • As Hispanic voters continue to shift to the Republican party, our community centers are forging the way for voters to be heard, engaged, and involved.
Robeson County, North Carolina: The RNC opened its first Native American Community Center. After seeing gains in Native American communities in 2020, the RNC is ensuring to continue to grow the Party in 2022 and beyond.

"The new community center - the first Native American office that the RNC is opening anywhere in the U.S. this election cycle - is the crown jewel of the approach," reported the Indigenous Wire.

    RNC Celebrates School Choice Week

This week, the Republican Party joined thousands of families and teachers across the country in celebrating freedom in K-12 education.

Escape route: School choice empowers students - especially those trapped in failing districts - to find the learning environment that best suits their needs.
    • Thanks to school choice laws, students all over America have taken advantage of charter school, private school, homeschool, distance learning, voucher, and open enrollment options.
    • Minority and low-income students are some of the biggest beneficiaries and supporters of school choice.
Families first: The Republican Party believes parents - no government bureaucrats - best understand their child's academic needs.

Standing with students: the RNC will always defend and support the expansion of school choice all over the country, ensuring that every child has access to the education that fulfills their needs.

SCOTUS Vacancies and Thinly Veiled Intentions

    • We know exactly who Joe Biden is going to nominate to the Supreme Court: a left-wing, radical, activist judge.
      • Disgustingly, Biden has openly said that the only other qualifications for his nominee are to be race (black) and gender (woman).
    • Regardless, this radical, activist judge will not stand up for Americans' Constitutional rights.
      • Biden will nominate a judge who is a threat to religious liberties, the Second Amendment, the right to life, and free speech.
    • Unfortunately, we're too familiar with progressive activist judges here in NC.
      • Democrats on the N.C. Supreme Court are beholden to radical activists groups that helped elect them.
        • For instance, Justice Anita Earls is the founder of the Southern Coalition for Social Justice, a Woke advocacy group with a radical agenda.
        • Her resume is replete with radical activism attacking election integrity, calling opponents racist, and exploiting the judiciary to advance the Left's agenda.
        • That's why Eric Holder and his friends spent $250,000 to get her elected, so she could continue her activism from the bench in the redistricting case and others.
        • "Nobody can argue with a straight face that Justice Earls will rule impartially on a case argued by her former law partner and funded by her campaign megadonor against the same group they spent years suing. This is dangerous territory for the judiciary." - NC Sen. Amy Galey (R-Alamance)
        • This is the end game of Democrats' 'Sue til Blue' strategy.
      • This is exactly what Biden and the Democrats intend to do to the Supreme Court of the United States.
    • President Trump and Republicans successfully delivered three Constitutionalist judges to the Supreme Court - Biden and Democrats will do anything they can to undo this accomplishment. Even pack the court.
      • Democrats unsuccessfully tried to smear President Trump's appointees, particularly Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett.
    • We know this will be a fight - Democrats don't have a single vote to spare in the Senate.
      • Republicans will fight to defend Americans' Constitutional rights, expose Biden's nominee, and hold Senate Democrats accountable for their vote. We will do everything we can to stop Biden's radical nominee.
      • This constant threat to individual rights from progressive activists judges reinforces how critical it is for Republicans to win control of the U.S. Senate in 2022, and that means keeping a Republican in the Senate seat from North Carolina is absolutely vital.
    • Chairwoman McDaniel's Statement on Biden's Supreme Court Remarks.

North Carolinians deserve to have trust in elections, the utmost confidence their ballot is protected, and their vote counts. That's why the N.C. Republican Party has established a statewide Election Integrity Committee. Join the Election Integrity Team in North Carolina

  • published RNC Statement on Brnovich vs. DNC in News 2021-07-02 07:44:37 -0400

WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released the following statement on Brnovich vs. DNC ruling:

"Today's United States Supreme Court ruling is a resounding victory for election integrity and the rule of law. Democrats were attempting to make Arizona ballots less secure for political gain, and the Court saw right through their partisan lies. In Arizona and across the nation, states know best how to manage their own elections. The RNC is proud to have worked closely with the Arizona GOP to support this historic victory, and we will continue our comprehensive efforts to make it easier to vote and harder to cheat."
