Commissioner of Labor

Luke Farley

"I'm running for this office to make North Carolina the safest place to work and the best place to do business"

Luke Farley is a Christian, husband, father, conservative, and patriot. He grew up in North Carolina, went to school here, and is raising his family here. He wants North Carolina to be the safest place to work and the best place to do business in the country. He'll fight every day for free enterprise, common sense regulation, and cutting red tape.

Luke Farley has been endorsed by former Labor Commissioner Cherie Berry, the longest serving commissioner in North Carolina history. He’s a proven fighter, a political outsider, and a dedicated advocate for North Carolina’s small businesses and entrepreneurs. As a private sector lawyer with over thirteen years of experience, Luke has been on the front lines, keeping workers safe and helping small businesses fight unreasonable regulations.

Now, Luke is bringing his passion and expertise to the role of Labor Commissioner. Luke has the real-world, professional experience we need to protect both workers and job-creators. In 2022, he was named Volunteer Lawyer of the Year. As a common-sense conservative, he understands we need to look after the lives and livelihoods of all North Carolinians.

Luke grew up in Onslow County and now lives in Raleigh with his wife of ten years and together they have two young boys, with another child on the way. He's a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and Wake Forest University School of Law. As Labor Commissioner, Luke will get up every day ready to work for the people of North Carolina.
