Chad Brown
Chad Brown is a Christian, former professional baseball player, and a life long conservative Republican who found his way into politics by being elected as the Mayor of Stanley, and then on to the County Commission. He served 3 terms (12 years total), with the last 2 years as Chairman. He relies on his Christian values to help guide his way through political issues. Chad grew up in Gastonia, NC, in Gaston County, where hard work and strong family values were a staple in his home. His first love was baseball, but once that was over his true love was politics. Chad likes to think his calling here is to fight for the common person to help give them some direction through a cumbersome government. Working in economic development and being involved in many other facets of local government has groomed him to want more. Chad has taken a proud stance for the unborn! He's fought for issues where his vote cannot be swayed and is proud to cast the lone vote for his beliefs. Chad is a member of Flint Groves Baptist Church.
