STATE AND NATIONAL
NCGOP Chairman's Chat
 
NCGOP Chairman, Michael Whatley, sat down with the Superintendent of Public Instruction, Catherine Truitt and discussed Critical Race Theory, masks in schools, and the purpose of public education in the United States.

2021 Gun Raffle

The 2021 Gun Raffle will benefit the Judicial Victory Fund. The drawing will take place at the Sportsmen's Banquet on October 9th, 2021. You can purchase tickets from Chairwoman Mary Boughton

Raffle tickets will also be sold at the event, until the drawing begins. More information may be found at the North Carolina Sportsmen website by clicking on their logo above.

DISTRICT
The 3rd District Executive Committee met on Saturday, August 14th at the Bucher Farm in Bridgeton. NCGOP Chairman Michael Whatley was in attendance to gave us an update on NCGOP. Dexter Lui was the guest speaker and will talk about the importance of defending the 2nd Amendment and the concept of creating "Freedom Ambassadors" in our counties.

Carl Mischka (Craven), immediate past chairman of the 3rd District, was elected as our district's representative on the DCCA Executive Committee and was previously appointed to the NCGOP Election Integrity Committee. Stephanie Broughton (Carteret) was appointed as the District Credentials Committee Chairman, and the district's representative on the State Credentials Committee. Bob Pruett (Carteret) was appointed as the District Plan of Organization Chairman, and the district's representative on the State Plan of Organization Committee. Joe Hollowell (Chowan) was appointed as the District Resolutions Committee Chairman, and the district's representative on the State Resolutions Committee. The Rules Committee Chairman and Platform Committee Chairman have yet to be appointed. If interested in either role please contact 3rd District Chairman, Dave Wickersham.

The next district meeting will be held in Edenton on September 11th, 2021. More information will be sent out prior to the meeting.

The Craven County Republicans are happy to host the 2021 Lincoln Reagan Dinner on August 28th at 6:30pm at the Havelock Tourist and Event Center. Their guest speakers will be Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson and Sheriff David Clarke. This will be a plated dinner and will cost $75 for individual tickets. Patriot's Seating is available for $250, and includes seating at a table with Rep. Steve Tyson, NC Supreme Court Candidate Trey Allen, Senator Norm Sanderson, or US Senate Candidate Mark Walker, and an exclusive meet and greet. Champion's Seating is available for $750 which includes reserved seating for 8 at a table location of your choosing. Platinum Seating is $750 and includes exclusive access to the VIP meet and greet event with photo opportunities with Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, Sheriff David Clarke, Sheriff Chip Hughes, and one of only 5 seats at the head table with the guest speakers. Tickets may be purchased by clicking the flyer above.

Crystal Coast Republican Women
CCRW's next meeting will be August 20th, 10am.  The meeting is open to all registered Republicans. Don't forget a shareable dish for the potluck lunch after the meeting! This month's guest speakers are Senator Norm Sanderson and Marty Cooke, candidate for U.S. Senate.

Tickets go on sale on August 20th! Registration will be available by mail or online at EventBrite. $40 per person if received by September 10th, or $50 at the door. Price includes a plated meal and non-alcoholic beverages.


Crystal Coast Republican Men's Club
 
CCRMC's next meeting is August 19th at Southern Salt in Morehead City. The evening begins with a dutch-treat social hour at 5:30pm, and the business begins at 7pm. All registered Republicans are invited to attend. Come early, cause this is a meeting you don't want to miss! Doug Raymond of the Average Joe Radio Show will be broadcasting live!
