ON COVID, BIDEN IS ABDICATOR-IN-CHIEF

Joe Biden repeatedly promised to "shut down the virus, not the country."

But almost a year into his presidency, Biden has not "shut down" COVID. He refused to even order enough tests.

The U.S. registered 1 million COVID infections in 24 hours this week, "doubling the figure from just four days ago and setting a global record."

Biden was warned. But his administration repeatedly turned down plans to expand testing.
  • In the spring, the White House "never followed up" on a proposal to purchase millions of rapid tests.
  • In October, the Biden administration rejected a proposal for "free rapid tests for the holidays."
  • In early December, the White House Press Secretary mocked and dismissed sending at-home test kits to all Americans.
Scrambling: Biden has announced that 500 million tests will be sent out in January, but the contract has yet to be signed.

Thanks to Biden, Democrat-run communities are reverting to policies from the earliest days of the pandemic, like lockdowns. More than 5,200 public schools closed their doors for at least one day this week and switched to virtual learning - again.

Biden was unprepared for Omicron and how quickly it would spread. But rather than take responsibility, he insists this is a "pandemic of the unvaccinated" and that "there is no federal solution" to the virus after months of promising to "end this."
Watch Biden lie.

POOR JOBS NUMBERS, SLUGGISH ECONOMY HITS BIDEN'S APPROVAL RATING

Bad news for Biden: A new CNBC poll was released and it's not flattering.
  • 60% disapprove of Biden's handling of the economy.
  • 55% disapprove of Biden's handling of the pandemic.
  • 56% disapprove of the job Biden is doing as president, a record high in CNBC's poll.
No one to blame but himself. Biden's failed policies have consequences. Just look at the most recent jobs report, the worst of Biden's presidency so far:
  • 199,000: The number of jobs the economy added back in December - less than half what economists had predicted.
  • 3.6 million: That's how many Americans lost their jobs during the pandemic and have yet to get them back.
  • 10.5 million: The number of job openings businesses are struggling to fill - a near record high.
Scratching the surface: This data, which reflects a weak recover, was collected before Omicron hit the economy. The situation is likely even worse than the data reflects.

Biden's sluggish job growth is compounded by rising prices for everyday goods and a supply chain crisis that's causing shortages and emptying store shelves.
  • These problems will only get worse thanks to Biden's job-killing vaccine mandate, forcing Americans to choose between personal freedom and their livelihoods.
"Biden and the Democrats do not care about the harms they're causing Americans - from rapidly rising prices on everything from gas to groceries, to job-killing mandates, to a pandemic they promised to shut down," RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said. "Joe Biden doesn't care and the American people are paying the price."

Bottom line: Americans are waking up to Biden's failed policies. They'll hold him accountable at the ballot box this November.

HYPOCRISY, THY NAME IS SCHUMER

Double Standards: Chuck Schumer made it clear he wants to eliminate the filibuster and radically change the Senate's rules because he doesn't have the votes to ram through Democrats' federal election takeover.
  • Flashback: In 2005, when Senate Democrats were in the minority, Schumer said eliminating the filibuster would "make this country into a banana republic, where if you don't get your way, you change the rules. Are we gonna let them? It will be a doomsday for Democracy if we do."
Schumer's hypocrisy is one of many Democrat flip-flops on the filibuster:
  • Joe Biden: In 2005, he said eliminating the filibuster would be the "arrogance of power" and a "fundamental power grab by the majority party."
  • Dick Durbin: in 2018, Democrat Senator Dick Durbin said ending the filibuster "would be the end of the Senate."
  • Barack Obama: in 2005, Obama said the filibuster protected "free and democratic debate."
Bottom line: Democrats want to ram through their federal election takeover that would eviscerate widely-popular provisions like voter ID. Schumer and Democrats' efforts to change Senate rules are about one thing: power.

SCHOOL'S OUT

Two years later, Democrats (at the behest of powerful teachers' union bosses) are attempting to again force lockdowns on America's students.

In Democrat strongholds across the country - including Massachusetts, Virgina, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Seattle, Chicago, Portland, and Washington D.C. - local teachers' unions have threatened to strike if their demands for virtual learning are not met.

The impact: Experts have sounded the alarm over the "crushing" harms of prolonged school closures on kids' mental health, noting "dramatic increases" in failing grades and a host of other mental health problems.

New Year, Same Lockdowns: Democrats are beginning the new year much like they began the last: keeping our kids out of schools and bowing to teachers' unions.

Biden failed to "shut down the virus" as promised, and America's students are left to pay the price.

DEMOCRATS PUSH NON-CITIZEN VOTING
  • Democrats are getting bolder in their attempts to undermine election integrity.
  • They started lying about voter ID in states like North Carolina, Georgia, and Texas. Then the Biden Department of Justice starting suing Republican states.
  • Now, Democrats are going for it all: they want to let non-citizens vote in American elections. The left care more about power than what it means to be an American citizen.
  • In December, the New York City council adopted a resolution allowing about 900,000 non-citizens to vote in New York City elections.
    • This is much larger than the margin in last year's New York Mayor Democratic primary, meaning these non-citizen votes could have swung the race to another candidate.
  • On Monday, the Republican National Committee (RNC) filed suit against Mayor Eric Adams, the New York City Council, and the New York City Board of Elections after the city adopted their radical law allowing non-citizens to vote in city elections.
  • For background:
    • This radical scheme passed by New York Democrats to allow foreign citizens to decide American elections is a blatant attack on election integrity and violates the state constitution which requires New York voters to be U.S. citizens.
    • The RNC is joined in the suit by the New York Republican Party and several concerned New York officeholders and voters, including city council members who voted against the legislation, naturalized citizens, and even Democrats.
    • In addition to violating the state constitution, the suit demonstrates how Democrats' legislation violates New York election statute and the state's Municipal Home Rule Law.
    • The suit also raises important concerns about how the law will be implemented and whether non-citizens will end up on the same voter registration list used for state-level and federal elections.
  • The RNC also recently sued two cities in Vermont for allowing non-citizens to vote in municipal elections.
  • Think it's just a New York problem? Think again! After all, Governor Roy Cooper did kick off his reelection campaign with a cocktail fundraiser in New York City.
    • In 2018, Cooper vetoed legislation to remove non-citizens from North Carolina voting rolls.
    • This veto came AFTER the U.S. Department of Justice concluded an investigation and charged 19 foreign nationals with illegally voting in our elections.
    • It wasn't Cooper's only time supporting illegal voters; in November 2016 Governor cooper vetoed legislation that would cross-check and remove illegal immigrants from North Carolina voting rolls.
    • If Democrats controlled the General Assembly, they would corrupt our elections with illegal voters.
  • Americans do not support letting non-citizens vote in American elections.
    • 71% of Americans opposed San Francisco's decision to let non-citizens vote in school board elections.
    • Voters in four states - Colorado, Florida, North Dakota, and Alabama - have overwhelmingly supported ballot measures banning non-citizens from voting.
  • This is yet another example of Democrats being radically out of touch with the American people when it comes to elections.
  • Democrats are struggling to pass their federal election takeover bills so they're stacking the deck by de-valuing citizenship and leaving our elections wide open to foreign interference.
  • Democrats are the party of foreign election interference; Republicans are the party of election integrity.

North Carolinians deserve to have trust in elections, the utmost confidence their ballot is protected, and their vote counts. That's why the N.C. Republican Party has established a statewide Election Integrity Committee. Join the Election Integrity Team in North Carolina
