RNC Statement on VP Harris Hosting Roundtable Discussion on Abortion

WASHINGTON - Today, the Republican National Committee (RNC) Director of Faith Communications Andrew Brennan released the following statement on Vice President Harris hosting a roundtable discussion on abortion in Los Angeles:

"Families can't afford gas or groceries because of Joe Biden, and yet all his White House want to talk about is their radical late-term abortion agenda - they couldn't be more out of touch if they tried."

Background:

• Polling shows the majority of Americans support limits on abortion.
  • 80 percent of Americans believe that third trimester abortions should be prohibited in most or all cases.
  • According to recent polling from the RNC, independent voters resoundingly reject the Democrat Party's position on abortion - only 16% of independent voters believe abortion should be allowed at any time and for any reason.
• The United States is one of only seven nations that allows elective abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, putting America in the same ranks as China and North Korea.
