Record Number of Republicans File in Municipal Races in Carteret

Count 'em - 45!!!

On the opening day of filing for municipal office, the Carteret County Board of Elections was busy. The filing period runs from Noon on Friday, July 7th, until Noon, Friday, July 21st.

According to reports, there are 40 municipal seats open across our County. Twenty-seven candidates filed for seats on opening day, of those filing, 53% were Republicans.

“So what,” you might say. “These are non-partisan races.”

That is correct, however the values and beliefs held by those candidates should not change just because they have entered a non-partisan race.

We contend those Republicans running for office should model conservative values and beliefs in any office they hold; on any decision they make; on any issue they cast a vote.

We need to elect Republicans to every one of those 40 seats! Discuss with your Republican colleagues. File for office. Become a servant leader!
