It Was A Good Day!

Dear Fellow Carteret County Republican,

I believe that blessings take many forms and can appear at any time. I consider my role in the Carteret County GOP leadership a very special blessing for me.

Yesterday, our Party experienced a blessing that brings with it great opportunity.

At the NCGOP Third Congressional District Convention -- a convention that was eight-months delayed, Carteret County had a very good day! Not only did we show up, but we showed out!

We had the larges delegation of the nine counties present. Additionally, we were successful in seating not one; not two; but three members-at-large from Carteret on the district and state executive committees. Those new members-at-large are Donna Williamson, Tim Quinn, and Robert Harper.

It doesn't stop there! We also elected 2023-2025 district officers and Carteret County seated two of our own, Michele Nix is now the new First Vice-Chairman of the NCGOP Third District, and Stephanie Broughton is the new Secretary of the NCGOP Third District.

A highlight of the proceedings was the awarding of the Annual Jan Grube Volunteer Award. Stephanie Broughton carried home the award. Stephanie was honored to receive the recognition for obvious reasons, but further, she was especially blessed because the award is named in honor of her grandmother, a former district chairwoman.

I am grateful to the delegates and guests who took their personal time to drive more than 150 miles to attend the event. The commitment of our CCGOP patriots continues to enhance our work. Our delegation included the following:
